Privacy Policy
PersonaFolio (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is an AI-assisted resume builder for Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using PersonaFolio, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to provide account access, resume building, AI assistance, and PDF export.
2.1 Account information
When you sign up or sign in, we collect:
- Email address
- Password (processed by our authentication provider; never stored in plaintext by us)
- Display / full name (if provided)
- Account status metadata (for example, deactivation status and related timestamps)
Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. Session tokens may be stored locally so you can stay signed in.
2.2 Resume and profile content you provide
You may enter resume-related information, including name, title, email, phone, city/country (manual entry only — not GPS), summary, experience, education, skills, certifications, languages, projects, profile links, template choice, and builder progress. This content is stored in our cloud database so you can access it across sessions.
2.3 AI feature inputs
If you use AI-assisted features, relevant text you provide may be sent through our backend and processed by Google Gemini to generate suggestions. Do not include information in AI prompts that you are not comfortable sharing with our service providers.
2.4 Device and local data
On your device, the App may store authentication session data, app preferences (such as theme and onboarding state), and generated PDF files. Older Android versions may require storage permissions to save or share exports.
2.5 Communications
Password reset, email confirmation, and account reactivation flows process your email address to send those messages.
2.6 Information we do not collect
PersonaFolio does not currently sell personal information, show third-party ads, use advertising analytics trackers, access your contacts, use camera/photo library for core features, collect precise GPS location, or process in-app payments.

We do not sell your data and do not use your resume content to train public advertising models.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the App:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect users and the App. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Data storage and security
- Resume and account data are stored with our cloud provider (Supabase).
- Access to your resume data is tied to your authenticated account.
- We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to our size and data (HTTPS/TLS in transit, access controls, secure authentication).
- No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Use a strong unique password and keep your device secure.
6. Data retention
- Account and resume data are retained while your account remains active.
- Deactivated accounts may retain records needed for reactivation or security.
- Account deletion removes resume data and the auth account from our systems, subject to short-term backups and legal retention where required.
- Local device data is removed when you clear app data or uninstall (files you exported elsewhere remain under your control).
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where applicable.
In-app controls: edit resume content anytime, request password reset, and deactivate or delete your account through the App’s account flows.
To exercise privacy rights, contact us using the details in Section 1. We will respond within a reasonable period and as required by applicable law.
8. Children’s privacy
PersonaFolio is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your own. We rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our providers and applicable legal mechanisms where required.

11. Permissions (mobile)
- Internet access — sign in, sync resume data, and call AI features

We do not request contacts, microphone, or GPS location for core functionality.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes, we may provide additional notice in the App or repository. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.

14. Summary (plain language)
PersonaFolio stores your account and resume content so you can build and export resumes. AI features send the text you choose to process to Google Gemini through our backend. We do not sell your data, do not run ads, and you can delete your account. Contact us if you need help with privacy requests.
